What is lymphedema?

Lymphedema is a protein rich swelling. While it is typically seen in upper and lower extremity, it can also be found in the abdominal and neck areas.

Is there a cure for lymphedema?

There is no cure for lymphedema. At Arlington Lymphedema Center, we help you gain the skills needed to manage this condition for the rest of your life. We educate you on lymphedema and lymphatic system so that you have a better knowledge of your condition.

Will my insurance cover the cost of treatment?

Our facility is in network with a variety of insurance plans. We would need to check your benefits before your first visit so you understand your responsibility, if any. Please call us at (817) 861-7600 to find out your insurance’s policy on lymphedema treatment.

How long is treatment?

Treatment is typically daily for three weeks per swollen limb. If you have a mild case of lymphedema, treatment may be only three times a week. However, it is up to your doctor and your therapist to determine the treatment plan that is right for you.
